It's Donna here - Pat Goodall's daughter from Glan Ely. Hope you are well. I read your article in the Echo last week highlighting your new website. I think this site is a fantastic idea - in terms of support for carers whose loved ones have been diagnosed with one of the many derivatives of dementia and feel isolated - often not knowing which way to turn or look for help. Many carers have no children or close relatives of their own to share the extra responsibility that this cruel illness demands.
Just by talking to someone in the same situation on a website such as this will Im sure be a lifeline to many people.
As you may remember I own a motoring magazine which is distributed weekly across South & West Wales as well as Bristol, Hereford, Ross on Wye and Lydney areas. We distribute 20,000 magazines per week to high profile outlets to include all leading supermarkets, Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrisons etc as well as all main petrol stations Shell, BP etc. Due to printing restrictions I very often have pages spare before going to print. In the past I have profiled articles on Tenovus Cancer Research, Bobath Cymru and also Alzheimers Awareness. I would be happy to run an article on your new website Jill obviously free of charge as it is something close to my heart and hopefully the extra awareness of your project will benefit somebody.
