Hi John.
Oh dear. It sounds as though you have some pretty major worries. Has your mum been diagnosed with dementia? Has this illness been confirmed by a doctor or a memory specialist? If so, help should become available for your mum and dad. If not, then you must persuade her to go to the doctor. If you cannot attend with her then why not write a note and make sure the doctor gets it. You could ask for her to be seen by the memory team in her area.
All the best
Jill.
